1. New Dungeon Boss – Bulgasal
Bulgasal is the fourth dungeon boss to appear, following the Tomb Protector, Minotaur, and the Red Dragon.
It appears in the northern part of the Cursed Mountain Sung region, known as Bugal Abyss. Entry requires completing a pre-quest.
As the final dungeon boss, Bulgasal has its level set at 115.
Like other monsters in the Black region, it possesses both Black Resistance and Black Barrier, making it extremely challenging to defeat.
The minimum recommended condition for attempting this dungeon is character level 95+, along with gear capable of sustaining battles in the Black region.
2. How to Enter Bugal Abyss (Bulgasal’s Area)
To challenge Bulgasal, you must first complete a series of quests given by the Beijing Guard.
Quest Requirement: Character level 95+
Starting NPC: Beijing Guard
Quest Name: Beast of Bugal Abyss
After speaking to the Beijing Guard, you’ll be tasked with hunting Bllod-red Hellhound and Mad Hellhound to collect materials.
Completing the questline and speaking with other NPCs will unlock the method of entry.
Entrance Location: Cursed Mountain Sung (212, 468)
During the quest, you’ll meet Feng Yang, who will grant you access to the Bugal Abyss to challenge Bulgasal.
Once Bulgasal has been defeated and the quest completed, you can repeat the quest from the starting NPC.
3. Bulgasal Battle Progression
Similar to previous bosses, Bulgasal must first be approached by defeating its underlings before the final showdown.
Stage 1: Hellhounds of the Bugal Abyss
Upon entering, the Bugal Cerberus will block your path.
During battle, additional Black monsters will spawn to aid the Bugal Cerberus.
Defeat them to proceed to the next stage.
Stage 2: Dryad of the Bugal Abyss
After the Bugal Hellhounds, you will face a Dryad twisted by dark powers.
Once again, hordes of Black monsters will spawn to increase the difficulty.
Defeating the Bugal Dryad leads to the final confrontation.
Stage 3: Bulgasal
The true challenge begins here; the earlier stages are just warm-ups.
Additional Black monsters will appear at different phases to hinder progress.
Bulgasal’s power is immense, enhanced by its Black attributes. To defeat it, you must equip stats that counter Black AP and Black Resistance.
When attacked: Black AP reduces your defense, elemental resistance, and evasion.
When attacking: Black Resistance reduces your final damage and critical strike rate.
Formulas:
Black AP Effect (%) = (Monster Black AP × Monster Black AP) / (Monster Black AP + Player Black Shield AP)
Black Resistance Effect (%) = (Monster Black Resistance × Monster Black Resistance) / (Monster Black Rsistance + Player Tearing)
Ways to Increase Black AP / Tearing:
Combat Skills:
At level 95, passive skills “Black AP Resistance” and “Tearing” can be learned (max +10 each).
Martial Arts Variations:
Use Transfiguration on tier-12 offensive skills to add Black Tearing effects (max +10).
Use Transfiguration on tier-12 defensive skill Zin Zong to gain Black AP Resistance (max +10).
Item Collections:
Black AP Resistance: New Crisis I–V, The Dark Of The Black Gem I–V, Black Dance I–V (max +16).
Black Tearing: New Crisis VI–X, The Light Of The Black Gem I–V, Black Song I–V (max +16).
Consumables (Treasure Chest):
Black Resistance Talisman I–II (+5 each, max +10).
Tearing Talisman I–II (+5 each, max +10).
4. Bulgasal Special Feature – Gradual Weakening System
Bulgasal is far stronger than the Red Dragon, making it one of the toughest bosses yet.
However, unlike past bosses, a new Weakening Stage system applies if the raid fails.
Each failed attempt causes Bulgasal to weaken in subsequent attempts (up to 5 stages).
Failure Condition: If Bugasa is summoned but not defeated and disappears, it counts as a failed attempt.
Next Attempt: On the following day, after defeating the mid-bosses, Bugasa will reappear at a weaker stage.
Weakening Stages:
Stage 0 (Base): Black AP / Black Resistance = 80
Stage 1: Stats reduced to 70
Stage 2: Stats reduced to 60
Stage 3: Stats reduced to 50
Stage 4: Stats reduced to 40
Stage 5: Stats reduced to 30 (max weakening)
※ If Bulgasla is successfully defeated, the stage resets to Stage 0.
5. Bulgasal Rewards
Upon defeating Bugasa, rewards are distributed based on total contribution, just like other dungeon bosses. Players will receive Mystic Keys.
Total Damage ≥ 0.5%: 1 key
Total Damage ≥ 3%: 2 keys
Total Damage ≥ 15%: 3 keys
Total Damage ≥ 30%: 4 keys
※ Total damage includes the boss’s HP recovery during the battle.
Opening the Chest grants a chance to obtain exclusive combination stones for crafting the Bulgasal Set Equipment.
Additionally, players may acquire Bulgasal Fuse Stones, Transfiguration Secret Book, and items such as Intimacy Stones.
Details of the Bulgasal Set Equipment can be found in the announcement: [New Equipment – Bulgasal Set]
